Coated side out (CSO) means the ribbon has been wound out around the core, and therefore the ink on the ribbon is facing outward. To use CSO thermal transfer ribbon with compatible printers, you will want to unroll it from the bottom and feed it underneath the print head.

Using these on plastic containers in a humid environment and they have not lifted at all. Deducting one star only because the roll was slightly tighter than usual making it hard to feed through our printer initially.
